Xubuntu 14.04 on Acer Aspire One D270

Installation

Make a bootable USB stick:

dd bs=4M if=xubuntu-14.04.1-desktop-i386.iso of=/dev/sdb && sync

then boot from stick and install… That's it!

Notes:

If you want to have a something faster video out (HDMI) set kernel parameter mem=1920mb in /etc/default/grub, variable GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX and execute¹⁾

sudo update-grub
```
